The hotel was right near the corner of Douglas Street, with easy access to buses to Parliament, UVic or the Swartz Bay Ferry Terminal. Efficient check-in/out: The staff at Carlton Plaza Hotel made the process quick and hassle-free. Room and amenities: The rooms are spacious enough for two people. The beds were very comfortable. The hotel offers all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. A small kitchenette with a fridge and coffee machine is available. A decent-sized shower area with soap and shampoo provided.

Walking distance to all the sites/restaurants in downtown Victoria, and public transportation direct to the airport and ferry is basically right outside the front door of the hotel. Value: this is the nicest Best Western I've ever stayed in. The room was so spacious, super clean and the bed was comfortable. Above and beyond exceeded our expectations. I don't think you can beat the value of this hotel in Victoria. Staff: we arrived very late at night and were greeted by the friendliest person (a young man, I didn't write down his name) at the front desk, who made us feel so welcome.

The king bed was great - also the pillows. We chose the valet service for our vehicle and were glad we did. Our vehicle was promptly supplied when we needed it, and the hassle of parking in an unfamiliar setting was avoided. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful.
